God morgon alla barn

Each year for the traditional St Lucia celebration, the students at Kroka High School votes for the girl who they want to represent the saint. This year, however, someone suggest a Big Brother/Survivor-type of voting, where one by one the girls are eliminated until only the winner is left. Fair enough, the teacher Gun Persson in charge of the voting reasons, not knowing that the procedure will unleash underlying tensions, forces and passion that the students, teachers and parents find hard to control. Celebrated short film director and screenwriter Jens Jonsson debuts as a TV-series director with three hours that look, sound and have the rhythm of nothing else shown on Swedish television. Inspired by Flashdance, Dirty dancing and Swedish director Roy Andersson he has gone beyond realism in décor, acting and even movement, where the actors move in rhythm with the music, and created his own world, his own characters, his own school and rural small town.
