In our business you're bound to rub out someone you know. O, the ever professional, careful and accurate killer gets the job done, even if it means wasting an old friend. The flamboyant upstart Tok challenges O for the title as killer No 1, in revenge for an earlier loss that devastated his life. Caught in between is the beautiful Chin, whom O has loved from a distance for the last two years. Also the Interpol superintendent Lee ends up as a combined tool and enemy of the combatants.

The cinematography is a delicate combination of the intense Hong Kong style and a more solemn western style with many references to other action movies, accompanied by a very matching soundtrack. Fulltime Killer is this year's contribution to the Academy Awards from Hong Kong.
