Freedom Gang, The

Schejka is a bright and enterprising ten-year-old girl. She is also the leader of the Freedom Gang, a gang of boys in war-torn Beirut. She has managed to break away from her evil father and tyrannical brother only to fall into the clutches of a brutal gangster.The members of the Freedom Gang steal car radios, and as cat-burglars they empty wealthy apartments of their valuables. Schejka is arrested and ends up in jail. She is saved by a rich man who wants to give her a new life, to send her to school and help her to use her intelligence in a more socially acceptable way. But Schejka is unable or unwilling to adjust, and returns to the Freedom Gang. This film is based on a true story.
