Fig rig, the

Filmmaker Shari Roman continues her exploration of filmmakers and filmmaking itself with this fascinating documentary on Mike Figgis. Even before breaking through with Leaving Las Vegas (1995), Figgis was an independent and unique filmmaker. During the making of his experimental dv-films limecode (2000) and Hotel (2001), he developed the ''Red Mullet Digital Camera Rig'' (to get an idea, imagine a steering wheel meeting a steadycaml.
