If Franz Kafka (or Joakim Pirinen) had been in charge of Walt Disney’s team of draftsmen, the outcome might have been something resembling the 21-minute short film Exit. Incredibly well-drawn - shadows and picture angles almost bear comparison with Fantasia - but also incredibly horrible: the 7-year-old who slinks into Exit will, in the words of an American action-film quotation, probably risk getting ”fucked up for life”. Voices and characters are as ”perky” and ”jokey” as usual in animated films, but the world in which they move bears a ghastly resemblance to reality.
