Two teenage girls, halfway to adulthood but still living in innocence and bliss, are spending a carefree summer together. As the shy brother of one of the girls shows interest in their games, things start to get ugly. Soon an adolescent menage á trois is evident, and the kids each find their roles in their new game. With emotional depth and dreamlike photography, this film conveys the importance of belonging, which is so crucial for the childhood years. Paradise settings serve as backdrop to this equally evil and innocent first lesson of love; a kiss is the hardest knock out.MARTIN FROSTBERG
