A Dream of Youth

Through the eyes of Jianan, Yang Guozhang Zhao tells the story of a group of young artists who are all in chase of love, friendship and happiness. Jianan once went to college together with Shanshan and Guo Qing, and when they meet again several years later, previously hidden emotions rise to the surface, and newly awakened feelings make their lives intertwine in different complicated ways. In addition, they are brought together to shoot a documentary and to put on a theatre play. Expect emotional crisis as the film treats the search for oneself and the balance between self-fulfillment and being part of a social context.
