Down to the bone

A man dies and is buried. At the centre of Earth, in the land of the dead, things could not be further from the ordinary. Skeletons and Latino music surrounding him, the man is terrified and refuses to accept that he is no longer part of the earthly life.

The background to this well made, spooky but entertaining Tim Burtonesque clay animation is the Mexican celebration of death. Hasta los Huesos received an award in the animation category at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
