Sabina lives a great life, she got the looks, a partner who loves her... But there’s something fishy in this fairytale-like story. For a while she’s been having some strange nightmares. When she discovers that she’s pregnant, a window opens up in into her innermost. Her feelings of family, her childhood and the rites of a severe yet reassuring middle class upbringing. But this is only on the surface. Deeper down, something obscure and disquieting is stirring. With Don’t Tell director Cristina Comencini shows a lot of reflection hints, it’s not easy to be the spectator of this film – because we all have bigger or smaller beasts in ourselves. But one thing is for sure, you don’t go out of the cinema depressed and sad – because even if it’s a dark story it all falls down on a cushion of hope. CHESTER BORJSTS
