Dís is a twenty-something who doesn’t know what she wants to do with her life. She has tried every odd job there is and started on at least a handfull of university courses without getting it right. Thank God then for Blaer, her bohemian flatmate, who follow her around on an urban crusade to forget her lifecrisis. The sarcastic duo goes out clubbing, chatting up guys and having lengthy discussions about the plot and characters on tv-series ”Dallas”. Trying to find a meaning somewhere between sex and the city.But escapism only works for a while and soon Dís is back where she started – with the idea that everyone else seem to have found their purpose in life. Her childhood friends all live perfect bourgeois lives and even Blaer knows what she wants and pursues an artistic dream. ”Dís” is a film about being lost and believing that no one else shares your feelings. Which may not sound as the funniest things, but Hauksdóttir manages to find charming comedy in Dís struggle.MATTIAS DAHLSTRÖM
