Dirt

As a child he and his friends used to compete as to who could get the biggest amount of dirt into their ears, nose and mouth. He always won. Later in life this continued and evolved into a greater desire. He buried himself in dirt, rubbed himself in dirt, loved its smell and texture.
He started spicing his food with dirt, eating dirt with various sauces, eating dirt for dessert. Finally his whole body was so fertile, that plants and vegetables started to grow on him, and he became a self-sufficient eco-system.
