Stockholm Film Festival

In a refugee accommodation 15-year-old Ali from Somalia and 40-year-old Massoud from Iran are waiting for a decision concerning residence permit. After having witnessed a brutal rejection, they flee in a Mazda anno dazumal. On the road, ex-beauty queen Louise joins them. The cultural crashes are many, both within the small group and the people that they encounter on their journey for justice.

Last year's four hour long TV-series with the same name was seen by nearly a million people, and the question asked was whether the success would survive the editing towards film format? Even though some voices aired that the shortening had damaged the social critique, there was an overall positive response where some thought that the cutting had increased the tempo.
