Despite recent efforts, Kevin Smith doesn’t seem to be able to let go of his very own View Askewniverse. With the sequel to his cult classic Clerks- the film that enabled him to break into the film industry with a big bang some ten years ago - Smith now goes full circle. Not only does he return to the very same characters, but also the dialogue style that has become his trademark. In Clerks II, Dante and Randal are a decade older and have vamped up their existence from their black-and-white Quick Stop to a colourful Mooby’s. Being slackers and heading for their thirties, they now face the crossroads to adulthood. Foul language, witty lines, off-beat characters (mostly bit parts by Hollywood topliners) and a relaxed atmosphere are sure to give old Clerks-fans what they expect.NIKITA AVERIN KRONLUND
