The world is on the verge of extinction - rain falls incessantly, all the windows have disappeared and disease has spread, taking its toll on humanity. Director Karim Hussain shocked the audience at the Stockholm International Film Festival 2000 with his feature debut Subconscious Cruelty (1999). His return to the screen, together with co-director, cowriter and producer Julien Fonfrede, is with this strong, soaking ''wet'' film about decay and the need to find new ways to communicate under desperate circumstances.
