A multi layered, torn and flickering piece of black and white psychadelic cinema, with a soundtrack composed by a rusty Marsian robot. This may not sound like a flattering description, but Peter Tscharkassky’s homage to the American artist Man Ray is both disturbing and evocative. Images of faces and bodies in stillness and motion are mixed with different geometric shapes and beautiful interiors, all flying at breakneck speed. It’s a matter of chaos in harmony and the atmosphere. If the band Einstürzende Neubauten’s music had been a movie, it would probably have looked like this.
