Cape Cod

A family tragedy unfolds as the morning sun comes crawling in through the window of a seemingly lifeless room. What has happened stays hidden but remains painfully obvious event throughout a scene which bursts with tense cruelty and, yet, is never fully explained.
The precise composition, the explicit detail and the lightning design is reminiscent of Peter Greenaway’s works. Furthermore, in Cape Cod, the music works as an effective contrast to the still camera. Here is calm and yet anxiety.
