Breathless

A remake of Jean-Luc Godard's A bout de souffle. Richard Gere plays Jesse, a small-time criminal who steals a car and gets involved in a number of crimes. While on the run he shoots a cop who tries to arrest him, robs parking meters and assaults a man in the lavatory. Jesse is constantly on the run and commits more and more crimes: a new place equals a new crime.
