Boys don’t cry

Boys Don't Cry is based on the true story of Brandon Teena. He moved to Falls City, Nebraska, where everyone in the community was charmed by him and took him to their hearts. He found a girlfriend and everything seemed to be alright. But Brandon turned out to be someone else - the girl Teena. The disclosure triggered a chain reaction of events which culminated in a triple murder where Brandon Teena was one of the victims. A documentary about Brandon was made in 1998, but Kimberly Pierce felt that the strange story should be told in another way. She tries to go into the depths of Brandon Teena to find out who she really was, what was behind her double identity and how she managed to deceive everyone close to her.
