A Dirty Carnival

The young and ambitious criminal Byeong-du is collecting unpaid debts for the Korean Mafia, the Jopok. Burdened by his family’s frail economy, Byeong-du sees his chance to rise in the crime family ranks during a showdown with a rival gang. He profits from a serious weapons transgression of the gangster code by his immediate boss, and as a result he ends up working as the head boy of the Jopok’s Big Boss. Meantime Byeong-du accidentally bumps into his old school friend Min-ho, now an aspiring filmmaker. Byeong-du is offered the chance to work as a technical adviser on Min-ho’s new gangster flic, and soon the doublecrosses are in full swing leading up to the films shocker-ending.
