Life sucks some days, and this is such a day. Old issues resurface in a young couple's argument after the man loses his job. On top of it all, it is their son's birthday. The teenage parents keep on fighting like there was no tomorrow, and when they can't handle the way their relationship is going, they take refuge in a childhood too quickly lost. Just as all seems to go to pieces, there's a glimpse of hope.
The Singaporean backdrop looks almost Hongkong-esque in up-and-coIning director Bertrand Lee's film. With murky and narrow shots, the cinematography reflects the dialogue in this intimate short, which participated in the program of the 61st Venice Film Festival.
