A Drop of Water

A man tells the story about Lale, a beautiful Turkish woman he once loved. He takes us to the night when the young couple is going to a family dinner. What starts as a joyful evening, suddenly turns into a conflict between different cultures and traditions. According to Lale’s father the man is not good enough for his daughter. Still Lale stands up for her love, which leads to a course of events that can never be undone. A Drop of Water is a beautiful and moving film about relations, love and loss. It was screened at this year’s Cannes Festival.LINN STYRWOLDT
