”I, a Man” didn't do well so after the first week the theatre manager asked for another and suggested that this time it be a motorcycle film as they were also doing great business over on 42nd Street. That sounded promising only no one knew any motorcyclist.
At some restaurant in the East Village, a guy was sitting on a motorcycle. I just went up to him and asked if he was a cyclist, if he had time tomorrow to be in a film and could he bring his bike. That same night and the following morning I called some people and told them to come to the apartment we were borrowing for the shoot.
The film was shot in one day and went in the theatre directly after coming from the lab and being edited by me down to about 100 minutes. It did very well and was, I think, the best of this series.
