Acclaimed writer/director, David Gordon Green returns to the Stockholm International Film Festival with his unique take on the modern day love story. During the 2000 festival, Green conquered audience hearts with George Washington which won the prize for best photography and was named Best First Film by New York film critics. Now, he gives us All the Real Girls - a story of young love set in rural America.
Paul Schneider, who was seen in George Washington, plays a young man who has spent all his life in a remote town in North Carolina. After occasional flings with the local girls, he meets his best friend's sister, Noel, brilliantly played
by rising star Zooey Deschanel. She has just returned from boarding school and is eager to discoverthe world she's missed. The sparkling romance between Paul and Noel, naturally enough, creates massive problems and forces Paul to choose between his love for Noel and his friendship with Noel's brother.
David Gordon Green succeeds in expressing his own voice in a classic story that also becomes an in-depth look at young American love.
