Alas, the life of being single and gay isn't always easy. But, then again, it's not all that different from being straight and single. The same ordeal with friends wanting to hook you up with someone, falling for the wrong guy, dealing crazy parents, knowing whether In & Out is a good movie or not, and with the never-ending dilemma called ''should I or shouldn't I call/answer the phone''.
With a script by Dan Bucatinsky (producer and writer of The Opposite of Sex), Davis continues to explore the field of romantic comedy. All Over the Guy avoids stepping all over society's assumptions of the gay community, including the clichés. With the exception of some bizarre personalities, it succeeds in the art of showing just a piece of reality.
