A rumor is being spread at the Academy of Art: In the attic of the National Gallery a secret committee is gathering at night, deciding which students that are going to succeed. When one of the students confronts the head of the school, a chain reaction among everyone involved starts.Murder, conspiracy, love and betrayal are the ingredients of this thrilling story directed by one of Sweden’s most famous contemporary artists, Ernst Billgren. His artwork can be recognized in the film with its dark national romantic settings, spiced with symbolic elements and animals. AK 3 is based upon his own novel Kommittén, that questions what could happen if an exclusive group of people would want the monopoly of good taste in art.
