An intense triangle drama and one of Bergman's most durable TV-productions. Josephson stars as the ageing theatre director Henrik Vogler. Together with Lena Ohlin, as young actress Anna, he dissects the young women he has seduced, loved, and let down over the years. Soon, also Anna's mother (Ingrid Thulin), now an alcoholic hasbeen-actress and former mistress of Henrik's, enters the conversation. NIKLAS MATSSON
