Adrift

Since their mother abandoned them and their father was put in an institution, the siblings Sammy and Jakob must take care of themselves. As brother and sister they are very close, maybe even too close. Jakob takes over the role as family supporter and is extremely overprotective of Sammy. Sammy tries to break free, seeking confirmation in other men, a confirmation that she cannot receive from her brother.

Adrift is about the entrance into the adult world, about choices, about loyalty towards your family, and about the difficulty in deciding to walk your own way.
