Adam & Steve

When Adam and Steve first meet it’s the eighties and one of them is a go go dancer, the other a goth. Steve introduces Adam to cocaine and the odd couple end up in Adams apartment. This is where their most embarrassing moment of their lives takes place and Steve runs away. Fast forward 17 years. Adam is trying to kick his drug habit and Steve is a promiscuous doctor with many lovers, but no relationship. By accident they meet again, without recognising each other and true love springs to life. We follow the couple through ups, downs and gay two step in matching cowboy shirts. We also follow how their closest friends either try to cheer on the relationship, or sabotage it. All along the memory of their one night stand might come back to haunt them. Director, actor and screenwriter Craig Chester had the intention to write a When Harry met Sally for gay couples, and he comes close. Nevertheless, Adam & Steve is good entertainment for any couple, or singles, since good comedy is universal. HENRIK EMILSON
