A woman discovers that her husband, whom she thought had died 20 years earlier during the country's military dictatorship, is living in a small town in the south of Argentina. She travels there to meet him together with her daughter, who has never seen her father before. Together they try to help him regain his past and bring the faInily together.
Alejandro Agresti focuses on the human relations torn apart by years of isolation. Adolescence and loneliness, presented in this film about family reunion, formed the dominant themes also in his last film Valentin.
The characteristic feature for both films is the child's sorrow of its loss of a parent in a very early age, slowly turning into the discovery of someone unknown yet very close.
The film was well received at this years Venice International Film Festival where it won the prestigious Award of the City of Rome for Best Film.
