Kinchen

Two events mark the late spring of 2004 in the Czech Republic. One is the imIninent joining of the European Union, the other is the current World Ice Hockey Championships. As always when a World Ice Hockey Championship is taking place, the rosy cheeked Lasse Kinch is there to cover the event as a commentator. Måns Månsson has followed the commentator for a couple of days, both at the arenas and during the idle hours between the games. Forwardly and with genuine interest, he provides a picture of the everyday life of a sport commentator, in true cinema verite tradition. Following his last short, Stockholm Street, the Kinch is another step forward for Måns Månsson, showing that he is one of Sweden's most interesting young film makers.
