Who Run The World? - Girls!

News /

This year Stockholm International Film Festival wants to honor all of our extraordinary female directors! The film industry is a difficult career path no matter who you are so the fact that these women have made it all the way here deserves our attention. We are truly impressed with all the filmmakers that have created these films.

Feminist icon Gloria Steinem is portrayed by both Julianne Moore and Alicia Vikander in Julie Taymor’s The Glorias that is based on Steinems own biography. If family drama is more up your alley we recommend Stéphanie Chuat and Véronique Reymond’s My Little Sister and enjoy Nina Hoss’s amazing acting. Suzanne Lindon blows us all away with her feature debut Spring Blossom that she has directed, written and where she also plays the lead - at only 20 years of age.
