Entering a new decade, it is time for the industry to look ahead and discuss the prospects and visions for Swedish Cinema 2030. In recent years we have seen a trend of a decrease in cinema attendees in Sweden and an even steeper decrease of the ticket sales of the Swedish films. With the common goal of high quality and a sustainable film industry climate we ask what are the challenges and what is needed to change this trend?

In order to answer these questions, Stockholm International Film Festival has invited representatives from the industry that all play a part in the question and who will share their visions for Swedish Cinema 2030. With the starting point of visions for Swedish Cinema 2030, the debate will touch upon equality, representation, quality and artistic visions and last but not least financial support.

Participants at the seminar will be Anna Serner (CEO at the Swedish Film Institute), Helena Lindblad (film editor at DN), Charlotta Denward (Head of Feature Films at SVT Drama), Peter Modestij (Director and scriptwriter), Isabella Eklöf (Director and scriptwriter) and David Nzinga (Actor). The moderator is Jon Asp, Chief Editor at POV Film.
