Stockholm Impact Award

Stockholm Impact Award is one of the world’s biggest film awards. It is created as a collaboration between Stockholm City and Stockholm International Film Festival to honor quality film that reflects our society and isn’t afraid to discuss sensitive topics. The award was first handed out in 2015 to acknowledge international visionaries.

The winner receives the award, designed by artist and filmmaker Ai Weiwei as well as one million SEK! The filmmakers that are competing for the price come from all over the world and their films premiere at Stockholm International Film Festival. During the festival there’s also Face2Face, seminars and debates. The winner is chosen by a jury and is presented during the festival. This year there are five films competing for the prestigious award.
