Stockholm international film festival is between 9th-20nd November and 200 films from over 60 countries are shown in various Stockholm cinemas. In addition to the screenings, the festival organizes film quiz, parties, Face2face, Work in Progress and much more.

MEMBERSHIP AND TICKETS

You start by buying a membership card and then you buy the ticket to the film you want to see. You can also buy a test-ticket which will give you a temporary membership as well as a ticket to a screening.

You can buy membership cards here on the website all year round. You can then retrieve your card at a member screening. In case your are not able to retrieve your card before the Festival, we can of course send it to you.

FESTIVAL CENTER KULTURHUSET

You can buy memberscards and tickets to our screenings, face2face, seminars and parties at Festival center in Kulturhuset. You also have the ability to ask questions to our staff. Please note that the festivalcenter opens october 25th. 

Monday-Friday: 11.00-14.00 and 17.00-19.00
Weekends: 12.00-16.00

Red Carpet screenings 140 kr
Dailyticket 40 kr (applies mon-fri before 17h)
Evening screenings, Skandia and Park 100 kr

Tickets are only valid toghether with a membership card. Buy your card here.

Test-ticket 70 kr. Test-tickets are available on our website, at the festival centers and at the cinemas. A temporary membership is included.

STOCKHOLM XXVII COMPETITION

Groundbreaking directors compete for the heaviest award on the festival circut, the Bronze Horse. Open to directors making their first, second or third dramatic feature. 

STOCKHOLM XXVII DOCUMENTARY COMPETITION

Personal and original documentaries from around the world in competition for the Bronze Horse. 

STOCKHOLM IMPACT

Bold films on pressing contemporary issues compete for 1 million SEK (approx. 120 000 USD) and an award designed by Ai Wei Wei. International or European premiere required. 

OPEN ZONE

The most influential directors in world cinema are contenders for the FIPRESCI award. 

AMERICAN INDEPENDENTS 

The United States of America through the eyes of its most independent filmmakers.

A showcase of the leading actors and actresses in cinema. 

DISCOVERY

Powerful and diverse stories from debut directors.

TWILIGHT ZONE

Mind-bending genre films suited for the darkest hours. 

DOCUMANIA

The most vital biopic docs and real stories of the year.

A section focused on a current cinematic theme. 2015 year´s theme was "Migration".

Edgy shorts from across the globe in competition. 

IFESTIVAL

Exciting short films that compete on the official festival webbsite. Stockholm International Film Festival was the first film festival in the world with a section online.

FACE2FACE

During the Festival, many directors want to meet their audience. Therefore, following some screenings, directors or actors are interviewed for about 15min. The audience has then the possibility to ask questions and interact with the special guest.

RED CARPET

During a Red Carpet screening our greatest films are shown. Before the film, we offer drinks and amuse-bouches in the Skandia Cinema lobby. Directors and actors are often invited to the screenings and are part of a Face2face at the end.

Our Red Carpet screening tickets are available to all.

SCHOOL CINEMA

With the School Cinema, Stockholm film festival ensures that the culture of Film and Cinema is preserved. School Cinema is specifically aimed at students from Stockholm.

Stockholm film festival gives the opportunity to students from the age of 15 to see fresh new films from around the world for only 30kr each.
