Upcoming membership screenings
To buy a membership in the Stockholm International Film Festival is to support a richer film experience. The membership is obligatory to visit the international film festival in November but it also grants you access to at least twelve free membership screenings of the latest and most talked about films before their official premiere. The membership card is available here on the site, during Summer Cinema and at our membership screenings.
During the year we screen at least twelve of the best and most talked about films for our members. All you need to do is show your membership card at the theater to recieve a ticket, for free. Observe that from 12 august you need our new membership card to attend the screenings and the festival in November.

8/9 The American
Multi talent Anton Corbijn returns with his second feature after the success of Control. The Amerian is an altogether different film about an American assasin played by George Clooney who is stuck in Europe for one last job. See The American on 8 september at 6 pm at the Skandia Theater (Drottninggatan 82).

Till det som är vackert is celebrated play writer Lisa Langseth's highly anticipated feature debut about a young woman caught up in the world of high culture. She initiates an affair with a married conductor and a spiral of lies and deceptions begin. Till det som är vackert screens on 5 oktober at 6 pm at the Skandia Theater (Drottninggatan 82).
Somewhere
Sofia Coppola is back and this time she checks in at Hollywoods legendary Chateau Marmont Hotel in her new film Somewhere. The film centers around a bad boy-actor who gets a visit from his young daughter and it is said to be based on events from Coppola's upbringing. Watch out for the date, this is a screening you do not want to miss.
