THE BEAUTIFUL PERSON is a modern version of the 16th century novel La princesse de cleves, written and directed to fit the younger crowd. This intriguing and emotional drama takes place in Paris of today. On her first day of school, the beautiful Junie immediately finds herself in the centre of the boys attention. The most quite one of them all falls head over heels in love with her and manages to win at least a part of her interest. The rest is given to the heart breaker and teacher Nemour, who finds himself having mutual feelings for Junie. But in her dreering fear of getting hurt, she tries to resist the temptation of giving in for love. In the meantime a cousin of Junie, Mathias, is starting a love triangle with two other boys at the school. Both Junie and Mathias are on their separate parts tangled up in romantic messes that is driving the targets of their affection mad with jealousy.
