Max is the kid who is trying his best to fit in and give an impression of being cool and laid back, especially in front of the object of his affection, Ophelia. This could maybe be a manageable project if you don't have the most embarrassing mom of all, as unfortunately for Max, he has. Setting of alarms in super markets, inviting his crush over to their house for play dates etcetera, there's nothing stopping Max's mom from mistakenly making a total fool of her son, over and over again.
