1 km film – the future of Swedish film!
20 film festivals, 20 kilometer film. Since the start Stockholm International Film Festival has handed out the scholarship 1 km film to a talented directing talent who is given the chance to make a new short film and to move on with their career. Last year's winner was Hugo Lilja (Återfödelsen).
The 1 km film scholarship is awarded by Stockholm International Film Festival to a young Swedish film maker. 10 finalists are screened at the Festival and the winner is given the prize of being screened at next years Festival and also at SF Cinemas. The prize consists of:
- 100 000 sek from the Swedish Film Institute
- Financial aid for production from Nordisk Film Post Production, Riviera, Dagsljus, 24-7 and Cinepost
This year's winner is will be announced on November 19.
