YOGAYun Jae-yeon, director of the supernatural thriller "Whispering Corridors 3: Wishing Stairs" has created a new work of horror that takes place in a seemingly ordinary yoga studio. Part satire of the worldwide yoga craze and part chilling account the lengths to which five women go to achieve the holy trinity of beauty, youth and physical perfection, "Yoga" is most startling in its familiarity.
Hyo-Jung is the queen of home shopping network hosts, but a young and beautiful newcomer threatens to upset her reign. A chance meeting with old schoolmate and ugly duckling turned swan, Sun-Hwa, prompts her to seek the same "secret spiritual training lessons." Hyo-Jung finds herself at Mihi Kahn's Yoga Academy along with a small group of women also trying to regain their former glory or attain physical perfection. The women must swear to uphold the academy's harsh regulations for the seven days of intense training, but as exotic and mysterious yoga master Nani, says, "There is a price to be paid for perfect beauty."
