From Jackie Onassis’ glorious wedding dress to the last haute couture show, his 45-year long career is the story of a master behind some of the most flamboyant and opulent clothes ever made. A modernist, yet at the same time conservative, Valentino is a unique and supreme authority in the universe of delicate glamour.

Valentino: The Last Emperor is an extraordinary, profound achievement in depicting the great designer, following Valentino between his 71st birthday and his farewell show. In the centre of the movie is the famous love story between him and his business partner and lover, Giancarlo Giammetti. Director Matt Tyrnauer and his crew had unlimited access to Valentino and his entire entourage for over two years, shooting more than 250 hours of film to complete this highly acclaimed documentary.
