Film anthologies using spectacular world cities as scenery are a well-proven and successful concept. But never before have you seen something quite as extraordinary as this. Acclaimed directors Michel Gondry, Leos Carax and Bong Joon-Hoo deliver a unique cinematic triptych on modern life in the intense, neon-fueled city of Tokyo. An emotionally lost woman arrives in the Japanese capital with her boyfriend, only to realize that her body is turning into wood. A man from the filth infested sewers is captured. A lone wolf, isolated for the last eleven years, is once again about to join the outside world.
Never has an urban portrayal been so much fun, with viewing experiences that are something far, far away from what you may have seen on the tourist postcards. These are three stories about alienation and feeling small in a gigantic city, retold with vital narrative and visually extravagant images that are sure to be remembered.
