Douglas Knott is the archetypical officeworker: he is stressed, in bad shape and reallycould do without his job – or at least the hasslesthat come with it. To reward himself for hishard, unthankful work and to avoid a hecticarrangement with a likely disastrous outcome,Douglas throws a sickie and gives himself a dayto recharge. But what happens when the voice ofhis conscience starts questioning the legitimacyof his day off? Inspired by the British comedytradition, Douglas Knott represents all the littlemen of the world – and their misguided feelingsof being indispensable at work.
