The girl is crying. The hunter is hunting. So begins this comically melancholy odd tale of woe. The tears of the girl threaten to overflow an entire village and it is up to the hunter to save it. The animation, spattered with thick, imprecise lines and watercolor backdrops feels fresh. This animation from Swiss director Jadwiga Kowalska is wordless. But dialogue is not missed as you watch this fable unfold.
