Shelter

by Måns Mårlind, Björn Stein

Dr Cara Jessup, portrayed by four-time Academy Award nominee Julianne Moore, is a forensic psychiatrist specialized in disproving split personalities. Her work has seen several killers sentenced to death after shattering their trial defenses based on the guilt of their supposed alter egos.

When her father, also a psychiatrist, introduces her to one of his patients, Adam, played by The Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers, her disbelief is put to the test. Adam seems to have the ability to take on the identity of murder victims. As Jessup digs into his psyche and unravels his past, disturbing events begin to unfold, and not before long, she finds the safety of her own family and friends compromised.

The film, directed by Swedish duo Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein, has all the tasty ingredients of a classic psyche horror flick. There is the occult satanic worshipping, the suspenseful music and, of course, the mother of a single child facing a nightmarish evil.
