A GANG OF AMERICAN YOUTHS GROW up in a workingclass area. The lack of emotional contact with their parents and other adults make them create their own family with its own unwritten laws. When a friend murders a girl aquainted with the group, they're faced with a moral problem.
Comment:
RIVER'S EDGE, A DARK TRUE STORY that happened in Sacramento, California about the apathy of young people. When a young high-school girl is murdered, the kids protect their friend who did the killing since he's alive and she's dead. To me it's a mnch more frightening story than Blue Velvet. Very oriental in it's look, directed by Tim Hunter, and starring Crispin Glover, Keanu Reeves, and lone Skye.
