Hanging out in familiar Stockholmenvironments, the stop-motion animatednarrator and his friend, Isak, have one commoninterest: to eat Ritalin. The little pill is intendedfor children with ADHD, but it makes anyonewho takes it calm and collected and the worlda more interesting place. For two guys withlittle interest in anything – except for cementsculpturing and push-ups – Ritalin becomesan escape from the emptiness. Framed by thematter-of-fact narrating of the main character, interrupted by one-liners from madcap Isak,“Ritalin” depicts everyday routine in an absurd, tranquil and slightly sad way.
