Momoko Seto’s short film is an amazingly detailed depiction of a mysterious life cycle in outer space—like a futuristic botanical garden. Time-lapse photography is combined with an ambient musical score, ultimately setting a darkly fascinating and hauntingly beautiful tone. The interdisciplinary animation has an organic look to it, giving the film the appearance of a sci-fi segment from the Discovery Channel.
