It’s a foggy morning somewhere in a Dutchconcrete suburb as the camera closes in on thelittle girl making breakfast in a dirty kitchen.Excitedly looking forward to her school trip, she rushes her mother out the door. As aresult, a much-needed bus ticket and a cellphone are left behind.
De Vries’ short is the disheartening story of amother seen through the eyes of her daughter. Theflimsy narrative is merely an excuse for de Vriesto create a keenly observed and highly suggestiveportrait of family dynamics and good intentions.
