In a not so distant future, the mega corporation TREXX, governed by boardroom nightmare Ivan Bahn, has achieved complete control over Europe's infrastructure, by linking all of the continent's metro systems together. But controlling people's mobility isn't enough for Bahn - via an anti-scurf shampoo he has found a way to infiltrate their minds. In another part of town lives Roger, a perfectly ordinary, rather dull and paranoid individual. Roger rides his bike to work everyday, fearing the public transport system. But one morning he finds his bike in pieces, and is forced to go down to the dark TREXX-controlled metro, where he encounters a mysterious woman-in-red. Soon Roger is tumbling down the rabbit hole of big business. The legacy of Orwell and Kafka hangs heavy over Tarek Saleh's first feature film as he presents us with a future in which progress leads to misery rather than to prosperity. Former graffiti artist Saleh and the team of 50 animators show great concern for detail in the bleak depiction of the worn out metro systems, and poses ever-intriguing question about freedom of thought.
