Megatron

Maxim lives with his mother in a small town in Romania. For his birthday, he has been promised a visit to a famous American fast-food joint. But what this grumpy eight-year-old really desires is for his father to come and join them at the restaurant in Bucharest; a wish that proves far more difficult for his mother to fulfill.
Megatron, winner of the Gold Palm for best short film at the Cannes Film Festival 2008, is an intriguing combination of the purple light of a cold morning, a broken family and love.
